Promise ring, proposal ring, engagement ring, it goes by many names. At Amantys, pioneers of the concept, we call it the pre-proposal ring. The idea is simple: our jewellers lend you the engagement ring of your choice to ensure your proposal is unforgettable. You then return with your fiancée to refine the final details of her ring together. This solution is ideal if you’re uncertain about a specific design or if you want your partner to take part in the creative process.

Available in our Paris and Bordeaux showrooms, the pre-proposal ring adapts to your needs. Every ring featured on the Amantys website is available for lending. The key advantage? It allows you to bypass production lead times. As all Amantys creations are bespoke, we do not keep stock. Our jewellers require 6 to 8 weeks to craft your engagement ring.

The pre-proposal ring offers full flexibility and lets you involve your fiancée in the creative journey. Together, you’ll share a meaningful and memorable experience designing a unique piece.

When you return for your second appointment, our Gemmologist Advisors will welcome you to a private diamond discovery session. Inside our dedicated diamond lab, you’ll have the opportunity to observe, handle, and understand natural diamonds and their subtleties. Learning about the core characteristics of a diamond helps you understand its rarity and price. It’s essential for us that every client knows exactly what they’re buying.

All diamonds used in our creations are certified by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), the world’s most respected authority in diamond grading. This ensures every stone comes from ethically sourced mines, in line with the Kimberley Process, a strict international ethical and environmental charter.

Borrowing a ring from the House of Amantys implies a commitment to craft your final ring with our jewellers. A €750 deposit is required at the time of your appointment and will be deducted from the final invoice.

As this is a temporary ring lent specifically for your proposal, we kindly ask that you return it within a reasonable time frame, depending on your schedule, so it may be available for other clients who also wish to use this service.

All our models are available in sizes 52–53, the most common ring sizes. If you’re unsure about the correct finger size, our jewellers have prepared a guide [insert link] with helpful tips. At your second appointment, after the proposal, our Gemmologist Advisors will accurately measure your fiancée’s finger to ensure a perfect fit. Our jewellers also offer one complimentary resizing, allowing up to 4 sizes added or removed for maximum flexibility.

Please note that our most iconic models are often in high demand, especially the Delicate, Plus que Parfaite, Subtile, and Pure engagement rings. We strongly recommend mentioning your preferred models when scheduling your appointment so we can inform your Gemmologist Advisor in advance.
